Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support to Station Managers and Regional Training Manager pertaining to Training and Development matters.
  • Assist where necessary to conduct training.
  • Assist in coordinating training bookings both internally and externally.
  • Report any breaches of statutory requirements or company best practice to management.
  • Compile a weekly Training report reflecting attendance.
  • Complete monthly training compliance reports for the Station.
  • Participate in Training audits daily/monthly/annually and provide corrective action assistance to management.
  • Compile monthly training plan for the station.
  • Compile annual training plans for the station.
  • Ensure Stations Training Matrix and LMS system is up to date and current.
  • Ensure that Airline Training Matrix is up to date and all training is current.
  • Work with Station Manager on scheduling employee prior to expiry of Training.
  • Maintain compliance with all governmental, regulatory, customer and company policies/procedures in terms of Training requirements.
  • Ensure Daily attendance is received and send to Station Management as well as Regional Training Manager.
  • Ensure daily training attendance are being entered and encoded at station level for all Training interventions.
  • Ensure that the station complies with customer and company policies and procedures pertaining to training.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with the Training Departments as well as Station Management to review any Safety trends and work on an improvement plan to ensure compliance.
  • Attend SSAG meetings when needed and assist in obtaining relevant training records when and where needed for the station for Investigation purposes.
  • Attend SQRB meetings and assist in obtaining relevant Training compliance for the Station.
  • Assist Station Management/Regional Management during incidents investigations in obtaining relevant Training records and Training requirements.
  • Prepares and distributes reports as requested
  • Conduct Annual Training reviews on all Station Trainers.
  • Perform other duties as required. 

Required Skills:

  • Must obtain and retain Transport Canada Security Clearance.
  • Previous experience within the Training department will be beneficial.
  • Thorough Knowledge and understating of Menzies Aviation AGOM.
  • Thorough Knowledge and understanding of Airline GOM’s.
  • During Probation you will be required to fully familiarize yourself with all Training methods-In Class Training, On the Job Training, Menzies Learner Management System (LMS) and employee recertification as well as Compliance on all levels.
  • Senior Certificate with at least five (5) years of experience in Airline/Airport operations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to work extended hours on short notice during non-routine operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programmes including but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of the wider airport operational environment.
  • Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.
  • Experience of Health and Safety management.
  • Thorough understanding of Airline and Menzies Aviation Training requirements.
  • Previous Menzies Aviation Experience will be advantageous.
  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs when required.
 

 Additional Information:

  • All applicants must be Canadian citizens, legal residents or hold the requisite authority to work in Canada and be at least 25 years of age.
  • Must be available for extended hours when needed.
  • Position may require occasional travel

  • S'assurer que la matrice de formation de la compagnie aérienne est à jour et que toutes les formations sont à jour.
  • Collaborer avec le responsable d'agence pour planifier la formation des employés avant l'expiration de leur certification.
  • Veiller au respect de toutes les politiques et procédures gouvernementales, réglementaires, des clients et de l'entreprise en matière d'exigences de formation.
  • S'assurer que les relevés de présence quotidiens sont bien reçus et les transmettre à la direction de la station ainsi qu'au responsable régional de la formation.
  • S'assurer que les présences aux formations quotidiennes sont bien saisies et enregistrées au niveau de la station pour toutes les interventions de formation.
  • S'assurer que la station respecte les politiques et procédures de l'entreprise et des clients en matière de formation.
  • Organiser des réunions mensuelles avec les services de formation ainsi qu'avec la direction de la station afin d'examiner les tendances en matière de sécurité et d'élaborer un plan d'amélioration visant à garantir la conformité.
  • Assister aux réunions du SSAG lorsque cela est nécessaire et aider à obtenir les dossiers de formation pertinents, au moment et à l'endroit requis par le poste, à des fins d'enquête.
  • Assister aux réunions du SQRB et aider à garantir la conformité du poste en matière de formation.
  • Aider la direction du poste et la direction régionale, lors des enquêtes sur les incidents, à obtenir les dossiers de formation pertinents et à déterminer les exigences en matière de formation.

Compétences requises:

  • Doit obtenir et conserver une habilitation de sécurité délivrée par Transports Canada.
  • Une expérience préalable au sein du service de formation serait un atout.
  • Connaissance approfondie et bonne compréhension du manuel AGOM de Menzies Aviation.
  • Connaissance et compréhension approfondies des manuels d'exploitation (GOM) des compagnies aériennes.
  • Pendant votre période d'essai, vous devrez vous familiariser pleinement avec toutes les méthodes de formation (formation en classe, formation en cours d'emploi, système de gestion de l'apprentissage Menzies (LMS) et renouvellement des certifications des employés), ainsi qu'avec les exigences de conformité à tous les niveaux.
  • Diplôme de fin d'études secondaires et au moins cinq (5) ans d'expérience dans le domaine des opérations aériennes ou aéroportuaires.
  • Capacité à communiquer efficacement à l'oral et à l'écrit.
  • Doit être capable d'effectuer des heures supplémentaires à court préavis lors d'opérations exceptionnelles.
  • Maîtrise des logiciels Microsoft Office, notamment Word, Excel et PowerPoint.
  • Compréhension du contexte opérationnel global de l'aéroport.
  • Expérience et compréhension des enjeux commerciaux du secteur aérien.
  • Expérience en matière de gestion de la santé et de la sécurité.
  • Connaissance approfondie des exigences des compagnies aériennes et de Menzies Aviation Training.
  • Une expérience préalable chez Menzies Aviation serait un atout.
  • Doit être capable de soulever jusqu'à 32 kg si nécessaire.
