*** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract *** Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need *** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources. First Time Travelers Accepted Locals: NOT accepted Certification Requirements: ACLS and BCLS Skillset Requirements: Level 1 or Level II Trauma Experience, Telemetry, IV Start, and Cardiac Drips - Titrate Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals REFUSAL TO FLOAT MAY END IN TERMINATION OF CONTRACT Staffing Ratios: 1:3-5 Based on Acuity Unit Information: Post Cardiac Surgery, Post Vascular Surgery - NEEDS STRONG CARDIAC/Post-op heart experience Effective 9/1, the COVID vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's note provided. Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN's to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). **Periop/OR RN's, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS**
