Job Summary:

The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for providing care to patients undergoing endoscopy procedures, including preparation, intra-procedure, and recovery phases for routine GI procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. The RN delivers direct patient care, administers moderate sedation under physician direction, and collaborates with unit staff to care for outpatient populations. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as documentation and delegation to unlicensed personnel as appropriate. The RN ensures patient and employee safety, offers constructive feedback to peers, and fulfills departmental competencies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Two (2) or more years of relevant nursing experience
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
  • Illinois RN License in good standing
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
