Pay Range: $25.00 $28.00 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team on 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, experience using calipers and micrometers, and a background in sheet metal fabrication inspection. Experience performing weldment inspections is highly preferred.
This role is responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and internal procedures through first article, in-process, and final inspections.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication inspection (required)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints (required)
  • Proficiency using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
  • Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAI)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Ability to identify defects and communicate findings effectively
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality processes and documentation practices
  • Experience with weldment inspections preferred
  • Familiarity with ISO quality systems preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect, test, and measure materials and finished products to verify compliance with specifications
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections
  • Ensure adherence to ISO standards and internal quality procedures
  • Assist in developing procedures, forms, documentation, and process maps
  • Conduct daily quality walk-throughs in Fabrication, Paint, and Shipping departments
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality checkpoints are consistently followed
  • Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns to production and team leaders
  • Investigate customer quality issues and assist with corrective actions
  • Create and maintain detailed quality documentation and inspection records
  • Educate production personnel on quality requirements and best practices
  • Work with team leads to identify root causes and implement process improvements
  • Reconcile final inspection documentation prior to shipment
  • Monitor operations to ensure compliance with production and quality standards
  • Recommend process improvements and production adjustments as needed
  • Accept or reject finished products based on established specifications and quality standards
