Technical Senior Supervisor

As a Senior Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Leading the nonwovens team to develop the next generation of nonwoven processes and products
  • Developing and executing strategic plans and roadmaps for the nonwoven's portfolio
  • Partnering with division laboratory and manufacturing teams to deploy technologies into production
  • Shaping and executing intellectual property strategies and supporting patent and trade secret development
  • Building organizational capabilities through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and effective leadership
  • Ensuring all environmental, health, and safety expectations are integrated into the culture and the daily activities of the team

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) year(s) of experience in technology development or product development in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Supervisory and technical leadership experience in a private, public government or military environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to environmental, health, and safety leadership and laboratory safety culture
  • Proven ability to develop new R&D capabilities
  • Strong people development skills
  • Demonstrated strength in intellectual property strategy development and execution
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally

Work location:
  • Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
  • Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international
  • Relocation: Is not authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $164,612 - $201,193, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
