Security Events Team Member Job Description

Wage: $14-16/hour

Shift: Part time. Mon-Sat, AM and PM shifts available at 6-8 hours each. Average of 25 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Help events set up, clean up, parking, pedestrian control, and traffic flow control for some of our bidggest events such as Luminaria, Cornbelly's, Tulip Festival, and Imaginaria.
  • Maintain the Security Department’s parking and other equipment.
  • Help guests have a safe experience while at Thanksgiving Point.
  • Assist and support other department team members in the mission of transformative family learning at Thanksgiving Point.
  • Exemplify Thanksgiving Point’s Mission, Values, and Policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions, and work under the chain of command.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Physical ability to walk and stand for up to 8 hours without relief, bend, push, pull, manipulate small objects, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Professional, polite and patient at all times.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment.
  • A positive attitude and a pleasant demeanor.
  • A healthy work ethic.
  • Pass a background check.
  • At least 18 years old.
