Position Overview:
The Demand Planner will be responsible for analyzing sales trends, market data, and inventory levels to create accurate demand forecasts. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, experience with data analysis tools, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to support the company’s sales and operations planning (S&OP) process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand patterns to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Utilize advanced statistical and forecasting methods to predict future product demand.
  • Continuously monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models as needed to improve reliability.
  • Collaborate with inventory management teams to align demand forecasts with inventory levels.
  • Identify and mitigate risks of stockouts or overstock situations by adjusting forecasts and recommending inventory actions.
  • Monitor product life cycles and make recommendations for phase-in/phase-out strategies.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to incorporate promotional activities, new product launches, and market shifts into the demand planning process.
  • Participate in S&OP meetings to present forecast data, discuss variances, and align on demand planning strategies.
  • Communicate forecast insights to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Lead efforts to refine demand planning processes and tools to enhance forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in demand planning and data analytics.
  • Implement new technologies and methodologies to improve data analysis and forecasting capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a similar analytical role, preferably within the beverage or consumer goods industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP APO, JDA, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
