Job description

The Survey Technician will perform surveying duties to assist the Survey Lead. These duties include:

  • Read and interpret property deeds
  • Prepare deed composite
  • Prepare boundary surveys and the associated metes and bounds descriptions
  • Prepare ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys and the ability to review title commitments and reports
  • Prepare WSSC easements
  • Prepare various types of easements, including the associated metes and bounds descrptions
  • Prepare subdivision plats
  • Process topographic surveys
  • Compute construction stakeout
  • Process construction stakeout field notes and prepare cut sheets
  • Interpret construction drawings
  • Have a familiarity with surveying field procedures and equipment
  • Prepare WSSC water and sewer asbuilt drawings
  • Prepare house wall checks and final house location drawings
  • Prepare condominium drawings

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2-5 yearsโ€™ experience, preferably some time working in Maryland, a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a good driving record. Must be able to perform physical tasks. Must be detail oriented, accurate and work well with others. Additionally, must be dependable and have a positive team player attitude. This is a full-time position and ability to work overtime as needed is required.
