Full Time Monday- Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
On-site position located at 4625 20th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 52404
Research Land Rights by analyzing historical deeds, easements, county assessors' records, and Secretary of State databases. Review engineering drawings, maps, deeds and easements to approve railroad crossings. Utilize Microsoft Office, Google Earth Pro, ArcGIS, and Digitized Historical Maps.
What You’ll Do
· Conduct railroad deed research, including easement identification, and historical land analysis.
· Review and interpret right‐of‐way maps, valuation sections, and engineering plats.
· Analyze parcel boundaries, encroachments, and property overlaps using GIS tools and county assessor data.
· Evaluate property rights, exceptions, and restrictions.
· Prepare clear reports, maps, and summaries for property records.
Preferred Qualifications
· Education in Research, Real Estate, Geography, or a related field.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Earth Pro, ArcGIS and county land record systems.
· Organizational and communication skills.
