Job description

Join our team in support of NASA on the Kennedy Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Program (LX) Support Services Contract Three (KLXS III) contract. This contract provides engineering and technical services, program and business management support services, and administrative support services to the EGS Program. The contract also includes support for ground systems and spaceflight systems planning and design; project management and integration; operations integration and analysis; technical requirements development, management, and compliance; cost, risk, information, and configuration management; and schedule integration and analysis

Position SummarySchedule Analyst position supporting the Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Program (LX), Planning and Control office. 

Job Description – Functional Responsibilities 

  • Candidate will work in the NASA KSC LX Program Planning and Control (PP&C) office directly supporting the EGS schedule manager. 
  • Position is responsible for performing various schedule analysis tasks for the EGS Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) as well as schedule products created by the functional teams and summarizing that data into presentation(s) as requested by the EGS schedule manager. 
  • This role is also responsible for creating schedule guidance for the program and providing schedule expertise to program members as required. 
  • This position will also interface with Moon to Mars Program and Space Launch System/Orion schedule team members as a back-up to the EGS schedule manager and will update schedules in Microsoft Project which are used by the enterprise to coordinate dates across programs. 
  • Presentations this position is responsible for including, but may not be limited to, Performance Management Team briefings, schedule status briefings, schedule health reports mitigation plans, and IMS schedule guidance. 
  • This position requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills, ability to work as part of a team towards a common goal, and knowledge of Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and Milestones Professional. 
  • This position may require occasional travel for schedule Face-to-Face (F2F) events. Work may also include schedule/prediction analysis, and project forecasting. 
  • Duties will involve working with and updating complex Integrated Master Schedule(s) (IMS). 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Scheduling expertise is mandatory. 
  • Must thoroughly understand concepts of milestones, dependencies, float/slack, lag, margin, constraints, baselines/actuals, schedule slip impacts and budgetary impacts. 
  • High level proficiency in one or more of the following: Microsoft Project (Desktop and Enterprise), Primavera P6, and Milestones Professional software packages. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial business applications. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. 
  • Create reporting for specific functional organizations and business wide distribution including resource charts, PERT charts, Gantt charts, schedule status, revisions, etc. 
  • Participate in any process conversations directly related to Primavera usage and/or database management as relating to Planning and Program Management teams. 
  • Must fully understand the systems engineering lifecycle. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Project Management Institute - Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification 
  • Experience with Milestones Professional or other schedule software packages 
  • Aerospace industry experience 
  • Experience in schedule Analysis tools such as Acuman Fuse and GAO Schedule Assessment tool.
  • Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Ability to efficiently multitask 

Education 

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business/Math or technical equivalent from an accredited institution. 
  • 5 or more years of applicable experience.
