Summary: The Manager of Quality Systems and IMS leads all Quality and Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) functions within the facility.ย This site operates under an Integrated Management System (IMS) incorporating ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Safety) standards.ย This role ensures regulatory compliance, fosters a strong safety culture, and maintains effective quality management systems.

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Quality:
    • Quality system monitoring by reporting, investigating and correcting conditions in manufacturing processes that result in non-conformances (NCRs).
    • Manage internal audit program and quality initiatives.
    • Assist with customer complaints, root cause investigation, and follow up of corrective actions.
    • CMM management, calibration, training, and maintenance and managing the IMS system to meet ISO and Voith requirements.
    • Coordinate internal quality audits.
    • Monthly KPI analysis and tracking of corrective actions.
    • Manage document control system.
    • Manage product quality, including response to product restarts/rejects, investigations, etc.
  • Health Safety and Environmental (HSE):
    • Promote and sustain a proactive HSE culture to reduce incidents and risk.
    • Manage operational and environmental permits and regulatory requirements.
    • Facilitating and organizing compliance safety training.
    • Developing and reviewing Job Safety Analysis, Risk, and Ergonomic assessments.
    • Process incident reports and investigations, manage worker's compensation claims and return to work programs.
    • Coordinate safety audits.
    • Monthly KPI analysis/ reporting and tracking of corrective actions.
    • Oversight and management of all required legal requirements.
    • Support corporate HSE activities.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent safety and healthย track recordย in programs and processes.ย 
  • Prior labor relations experience is a plus.ย 
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in HSE and/or Quality roles.
  • Excellent communication skills.ย 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.ย 
  • Ability to move throughout the facility as required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
