Job description

Job Responsibilities

  • Experience working within an IMS Database environment. Familiarity with mainframe functional areas such as z/OS Operating System, Storage, Databases, CICS, and Disaster Recovery concepts.
  • Experience in IMS V15.5 or Later upgrade with SMP/E
  • Experience in ISV products include, but are not limited to CA database tools, IBM database tools, Sysview, Omegamon, and Mainview.
  • Experience in IMS Database Objects, Logical Unit definitions, and IMS Commands.
  • Expert in IMS configuration like SYSGEN, PSBGEN, Subsystem configuration.
  • Will serve as primary technical contact for the mainframe Database for one or more clients during transition.

 

 Experience level

  • 12+ years of professional work experience as an IMS Mainframe System Programmer.

 

Technical key skills (Mandatory skills)

  • Expertise in performing SMP/E and Non-SMPE Installation of ISV products
  • Expertise in IMS V15.5 or later upgrade
  • Mastery of IMS Database objects, PSB, ACB and SYSGEN process.
