Job description

Job Opening:
Master's Level Clinician
for Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) in Washington, DC
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate evidence-based group counseling sessions including Behavioral Health Anger Management, Impulse Control, and Behavioral Health Advocacy Groups as assigned by CSOSA.
• Provide individual psychotherapy and grief and loss counseling to supervisees, developing treatment plans and progress reports in collaboration with each client.
• Conduct intake assessments, participate in the development and update of individualized treatment plans, and ensure all services align with referral authorizations and evidence-based practices.
• Document all clinical activities-including attendance, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries-in the CSOSA electronic records system (SMART21) and maintain strict confidentiality of all supervisee files.
• Provide timely appointment verification, progress, and no-show/missed appointment reports as required.
• Participate in multidisciplinary staffing, case consultations, and ongoing training or supervision as required by CSOSA and the Clinical Supervisor.
• Adhere to all CSOSA, federal, and professional standards regarding privacy, security, and ethical conduct, including HIPAA and the Privacy Act.
• Support translation and interpretation services for clients as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution (e.g., CACREP, CSWE, MPCAC, APA-CoA).
• Full, current, and unrestricted license to practice within the relevant field in the District of Columbia or any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.
• Training and required supervision to use all group curricula, instruments, and tools used in the program.
• U.S. citizenship or valid work authorization.
Additional Requirements:
• Successful completion of CSOSA and federal background checks.
• Completion of all required CSOSA security, confidentiality, and information security/privacy training prior to commencing work.
• Willingness to work on-site at CSOSA facilities in Washington, DC 20002, and comply with all agency policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse and justice-involved populations.
• Commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
