Job description

Design and development of Test Plans and Test Cases based on client‑approved requirements and specifications. Meet or exceed internal QA standard for testing all applications and application installation processes prior to product release; create and maintain defect logs; provide summary reports on defects; maintain system knowledge; maintain and improve insurance industry knowledge; communicate testing errors to programming staff in accordance with established procedures for the application; review, participate and document issues and defects found in walkthroughs of intermediate project deliverables (statements of work, estimates, requirements, functional designs, etc.); thoroughly document all defects found using the application’s defect‑reporting template; review test plans and test cases with the client; obtain client sign‑off; periodically audit project files and documents for compliance with IDP procedures, standards and guidelines; assist with the measurement of the cost of rework; properly record time spent on tasks in the current time‑keeping system; participate in all staff meetings as required; perform all duties in accordance with established standards and full knowledge and compliance with company standards and procedures; additionally, she will be responsible for the integration, functional and data testing to ensure the final implementation of standards through the successful execution of the QA process and procedures; work with QA team, development teams, project managers, technical services, and business users; as well as review technical documentation that includes business requirements, functional specs, design, and release content documents. Relocation/telecommuting may be required plus travel to various unanticipated client locations within the United States for short‑ and long‑term assignments.

Languages, Skills and Tools Education

Master’s degree in computer science/computer application/engineering (Computer/Electronics/Mechanical). Will accept Computer Science/Computer Application/Engineering (Computer/Electronics/Mechanical) plus five (5) years of progressive experience in related fields in lieu of a master’s degree. Will accept foreign education equivalent.
