We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Insurance Coordinator (Claims/Billing) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will manage dental insurance claims, billing processes, and patient accounts to ensure accurate and timely reimbursements. Responsibilities

  • Process dental insurance claims efficiently using billing software.
  • Review and interpret insurance policies, including understanding DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards to facilitate correct claim processing.
  • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims by communicating with insurance companies and patients to resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain detailed records of dental billing, dental records, and dental coding activities to support audit readiness and compliance.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries related to insurance coverage, billing issues, and payment options.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to verify patient coverage details and ensure proper documentation of dental procedures.
  • Stay updated on healthcare claims management practices, dental insurance regulations, and changes in dental terminology affecting billing procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in medical office settings with a strong focus on dental insurance claims processing and billing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and healthcare claims management tools.
  • Knowledge of dental coding including DRG, CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology, dental records management, and dental insurance policies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for handling complex billing processes accurately.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and insurance providers.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving healthcare regulations and billing procedures.
