Position: Ocean Operation Specialist

Location: Rosedale, New York

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in Freight Forwarding/Logistics experience in Ocean operations
  • Detail oriented, Self-motivated, Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Must know how to use and organize Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Exceptional listening, verbal and written skills
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills (verbal and written)
  • Good organizational skills and ability to learn and retain information to build core industry related skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Ocean Import operations including data entry, customer service, rating, routing, customs documentation preparation
  • Arrange & follow up with shipment coordination & daily communication with customers & overseas offices
  • Tracking orders processed, issuing invoices for services rendered.
  • Monitor shipments and ensuring deliveries are timely
  • Maintain compliance of all transportation & security regulations, including customer’s policies and external government regulations
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments, other regional branches and offices, and all external contacts
  • Other assignments may be directed by the Management
