Job description

Join a Growing Fleet Operations Team!

We are seeking an experienced and motivated **2nd Shift Shipping and Logistics Supervisor **to lead our afternoon warehouse and transportation operations in Brook Park, OH. This position plays a key role in ensuring the efficient movement of LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) freight between local operations and major gateway cities.

Our company specializes in pickup and delivery services for non-asset-based freight forwarders handling import and export shipments via ocean and air transportation. If you thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoy leading teams, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse and dock operations during the 2nd shift.
  • Lead a team of 5–10 employees, including pickup & delivery drivers and dock workers.
  • Coordinate the timely movement of LTL freight to and from gateway cities.
  • Ensure freight is handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and support as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Communicate with dispatch, operations, and management to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Help resolve operational issues while meeting productivity and service goals.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, transportation, or logistics supervisory experience required.
  • Experience managing warehouse employees, drivers, or dock personnel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced LTL or freight environment.
  • Sit-down forklift experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Start time: 1:00 PM
  • Shift typically ends between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, depending on workload.
  • No mandatory weekend work

Compensation & Benefits
