Job description

Job Title: Import/Export Coordinator

Job Description

The Import/Export Coordinator oversees the end-to-end coordination of international shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and efficient order flow through the warehouse. This role manages export sales orders, collaborates closely with freight forwarders and international customer service, and maintains precise records to support smooth and timely delivery of products worldwide. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and communicate shipping schedules for export sales orders on the warehouse floor to maintain an efficient process flow through picking, quality control, and packing functions.
  • Monitor, allocate, and release all export orders to the warehouse floor in a timely manner, continuously monitoring stocked items for back-order fulfillment.
  • Request and document booking information from freight forwarders and maintain accurate transportation instructions and charges on customer orders.
  • Prepare complete and accurate documentation for export shipments, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shippers’ letters of instruction.
  • Verify compliance and accuracy of all documentation, including Air Waybills, Inland (Straight) Bills of Lading, shippers’ export declarations, and any other documents required for the international movement of products.
  • Coordinate shipment of samples and provide all required export documentation.
  • Liaise with International Customer Service and Freight Forwarders to ensure open communication regarding the pick-up, transport, and delivery of international orders.
  • Track containers and orders using appropriate internal and external systems upon request, providing status updates as needed.
  • Perform compliance self-assessment audits and implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain adherence to regulations and internal policies.
  • Assist with special projects such as duty drawback initiatives and freight tenders as required.
  • Support order management, scheduling efficiency, freight management, and international shipping activities as part of daily operations.
  • Collaborate with logistics, customer service, operations, supply chain, inventory, and transportation functions to ensure coordinated and efficient processes.
  • Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized to support efficient operations.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned to support the overall import/export and logistics function.

The work schedule may fall on any day of the week from Sunday through Saturday, depending on operational needs. This is a Contract position based out of Ozone, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
