Position Summary:
The Import/Export Transportation Coordinator regularly and directly interfaces with clients and carriers to ensure a high level of performance in the movement of goods through the supply chain, from start to finish. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain services toward customer's satisfactions & excellency through good communication & coordination with customer/carriers & affiliated business suppliers/partners Issue quotes to clients
  • Rate files in accordance with client rates/quotes
  • Finalize files with billing charges, complete billing invoices Ok vendor invoices for payment
  • Complete additional duties as assigned
Import
  • Processing and handling of both air and ocean import shipments
  • Track and Trace shipments to their final destination.
  • Communicating with overseas agents, US handling agents, ocean carriers, co-loaders, airlines, Container Freight Stations to ensure smooth coordination.
  • Arrange clearance and delivery to customer facilities
  • Take proactive and proper action whenever needed to avoid delays or problems
  • Prepare reports and/or advising clients of shipment status
Export
Processing and handling of both air and ocean export shipments including scheduling pickup, booking, 'issuing shipment documentation, sending pre alerts
  • Track and Trace Shipments to their final destination
  • Communicating with shippers, truck carriers, handling agents, airlines, overseas agents to ensure smooth coordination.
  • Take necessary steps for regulatory compliance set forth by TSA, Export Customs and any other federal agencies required.

Requirements
  • Industry experience (Import/export), preferred but not requiredExceptional Customer Service skills (verbal and written)
  • Detail oriented, Self-motivated, Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments, other regional branches and offices, and all external contacts
  • Good organizational skills and ability to learn and retain information to build core industry related skills.
  • Know how to use and organize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Smartsheet, Magaya a plus.
