Job description

We are looking for an immediate long-term contract opening for an Import Export Agent in Atlanta, GA for our client an International Cargo company. We are looking for ambitious and detail-oriented individuals to perform fast-paced warehouse cargo work, under supervision.


Responsibilities:

  • Processes export & import inquiries as per client requirements and procedures such as processing of discrepancies at acceptance, preparation and finalization of outbound flights/trucks & handling of import documentation (delivery, transfer, and abandoned shipment)
  • Processes all Air Waybills and HAWBs & ensures accurate data capture as per client’s requirements and procedures
  • Handles Special Cargo
  • Initiates invoicing, accepts cash payments
  • Performs Service Recovery activities (i.e. tracing, warehouse checks, offloads) and Airmail Handling
  • Fully supports the quality standards
  • Works according to documented CHM and GOM procedures
  • Observe & apply the security requirements of the client and local authorities
  • Contacts customers & inform them of any/all irregularities


Essential functions:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access invoices, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a computer, calculator, copier, and printer.


Work Environment:

  • Office Setting- Working with others
  • Occasionally work in extremely bright or dim lighting conditions.

Requirements:

  • Education: GED/High School desired Experience


Shift hours:

Monday to Sunday

6 AM to 2:30 PM

2 PM to 10:30 PM

Need to be flexible to work different shifts and days.
