Job description

About Foresight Data

Foresight is the leader in providing Generative AI to the private investment market industry through LLM-powered agents fully integrated into best-in-class web and mobile software. Foresight is solving some of the most challenging data integration, data management and visualization problems for private markets with a revolutionary product that brings together investment sourcing, deal management, portfolio management and finance capabilities in one end-to-end platform.

Founded by a team with a history working together at three of the most innovative, demanding, data‑driven financial institutions in the world, BlackRock, Point72, and Greycroft, Foresight is a fast‑growing pre‑Series A company with engineers who have worked at leading tech companies including Amazon, Google, and a host of great startups.

This is a rare opportunity to join a team who are building the future of how trillions of dollars of investment capital are allocated, integrated and visualized.

Your Opportunity

As an Implementation Specialist at Foresight, you will play a critical role in building and scaling the systems, processes, and infrastructure that power successful client onboarding and long‑term adoption of our platform. Sitting within the Customer Success organization, this role is primarily internally focused partnering cross‑functionally with Customer Success, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure that implementations are efficient, repeatable, and aligned with the needs of sophisticated private market investors.

You will bring a strong foundation in fund accounting and financial systems (particularly within private equity and venture capital environments) to design and optimize onboarding workflows, ensuring data integrity, system accuracy, and operational readiness. This role requires a blend of technical fluency, accounting expertise, and process‑oriented thinking, enabling you to translate complex financial requirements into scalable implementation frameworks.

In a fast‑growing startup environment, you will have the opportunity to shape how Foresight delivers value to its customers from day one, standardizing best practices, improving internal tooling, and driving continuous enhancements to the implementation lifecycle. Your work will directly impact the speed, quality, and consistency of customer onboarding, helping to establish a strong foundation for long‑term customer success.

This position reports to the Implementations Manager and can be based out of our offices in the San Francisco or the New York City metro area, operating on a hybrid schedule, requiring 2–3 days per week onsite. Fully remote candidates will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.

Travel for this role is not expected at this time.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation and integration of Foresight software, ensuring projects stay on track.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks that could impact project timelines or outcomes.
  • Help customers navigate the transition to new software, addressing concerns, and managing resistance to change.
  • Standardize and scale systems, workflows, playbooks, and best practices to improve outcomes and efficiency while supporting a growing customer base.
  • Leverage data analytics to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and implement improvements that drive success for both customers and Foresight.
  • Work with the leadership team to develop and execute strategies for further account software adoption.
  • Operate effectively in a fast‑paced, early‑stage startup environment with evolving requirements and priorities.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field; commensurate years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, fund accounting systems, or similar fields.
  • Demonstrated experience working with fund accounting and finance systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and ability to describe principles to outside audiences.
  • Experience collaborating closely with other teams, Customer Success and Engineering teams to deliver user‑centered solutions.
  • Willingness to learn new software and platforms.
Preferred
  • CPA license, active, inactive, or expired, strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial or early‑stage environment, with comfort operating in a small, fast‑moving team.
  • Experience with or willingness to use AI in day‑to‑day workflow to increase development efficiency.
