Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi welcomes you to begin your career as a Prescription Drug Benefits Technical Implementation Analyst and play a critical role ensuring prescription drug benefits and formularies are accurately outlined in the system to expedite the processing of pharmacy benefits for members.
What You'll Do:
  • Implements and maintains prescription drug formularies and pricing as outlined in benefit plans, updating based on approved changes as directed.
  • Performs system updates and provides results for QA testing.
  • Conducts a variety of analysis studies for review by business and management.
  • Research new benefit design and automation opportunities then develop requirements for system enhancements related to prescription drug benefits.
  • Serves as a Technical Consultant for prescription drug related inquiries, responding timely to benefits related inquiries from the Customer Service team.

Job-Specific Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to solve problems, independently researching, analyzing, memorializing and presenting resolutions without relying on step-by-step guidance.
  • Computer literacy, with specific proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A high degree of accuracy and a keen eye for detail in work produced.
  • A true multitasker, that can switch tasks as needed and balance priorities without compromising the quality of work.
  • Ability to effectively articulate ideas and information verbally, listening with full engagement, asking questions and providing clear instruction.
  • Ability to convey information clearly, concisely and appropriately in written format, adjusting for the audience as needed.

Preferred:
  • Ability to serve as a technical translator, effectively communicating system information that may not be technical, but business related, to technical professionals.
