Role Overview
This position is for a Technical Project Manager responsible for managing software implementation projects specifically for applications related to utility-sponsored programs, Government-sponsored energy programs, rebate programs, or homeowner/individual assistance programs tied to energy/utilities.
The role involves overseeing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), handling project tasks like budgeting and scope management, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage software implementation projects, including customizations and prioritization.
  • Oversee typical project management tasks, including budgeting and scope definition.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation in systems of record like Smartsheet and Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Enable clear and effective communication within the project team and with global teams.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, or Process Improvement specialist, with a progression in project complexity and scope.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in the utility or energy sector.
  • Must have experience supporting utility-sponsored programs, Government-sponsored energy programs, rebate programs, or homeowner/individual assistance programs tied to energy/utilities.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and Smartsheet.

Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) preferred.

Other Skills:
  • Strong communication skills for working with global teams.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) or more years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform products.
  • Experience supporting requests in an ERP tool such as NetSuite.
  • Knowledge of regulatory rulings, program evaluation, and power system trends.
  • Additional certifications such as Certified Senior Project Manager (CSPM), Program Management Professional (PgMP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, Certified Project Director (CPD), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), or PMI Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP).
