Role: Implementation Manager (Functional).
Location: NY, NYC.
Duration: 6+ months.
IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER - POSITION OVERVIEW:
Implementation Managers work directly with clients across all market segments, including hedge funds, banks, brokers, wealth managers, asset managers, and pension plans. Implementation Managers direct and coordinate all work efforts internally and work with the client throughout the onboarding process, which is organized as an implementation project, and which results in a solution in which our risk and analytics products are integrated into the client's investment process. Implementation Managers manage several client on-boarding projects simultaneously. They form and lead virtual teams, along with Implementation Consultants, Risk Consultants, Client Services and Sales, dedicated to the clients.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Take full responsibility and accountability for managing client implementation projects from initiation to seamless transition into operational service
• Answer implementation questions that arise during pre-sales and contract negotiations and make recommendations based on the likelihood of success
• Prepare and present clear and detailed project plans and solution definitions that comprise all deliverables
• Understand, analyze and configure technical aspects of the client workflow
• Organize resources required and establish milestones and timeframes internally and with clients
• Coordinate internal and external effort to complete all planned tasks and resolve all unplanned issues
• Communicate project status/issues/risks via appropriate media at an agreed frequency
• Report on project status on a regular basis with all stakeholders efficiently
• Identify and communicate risk factors that might delay a deliverable or threaten effective project completion
• Escalate issues and risks to project stakeholders in a timely and effective manner
• Define success criteria, establish and manage reasonable expectations, internally and externally
• Prepare internal and client project deliverables during the transition to operational service
• Follow implementation best practice and create the best client experience during the project

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least two years of successful project management experience in a client-facing role in the financial service industry
• Knowledge of and experience with a variety of information technologies, including portfolio or risk management systems
• Good understanding of financial products is required: equities, fixed income, derivative products, and financial risk management techniques and portfolio management theory
• Project management certificate (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, negotiating and problem-solving skills
• Self-reliant, detail-oriented and a fast learner
• Excellent in teamwork and collaboration
• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably with a finance or engineering focus
• CFA or FRM certification or MBA or Master's degree in finance or engineering is preferred
