Job Description

Responsible for activities that support sales lifecycle to ensure successful implementation of custom groups. Designs and manages detailed project plans for each new business or renewal implementation while identifying emerging issues and determining potential solutions. Leads the appropriate personnel to facilitate implementation of the terms of agreement between BCBSNC and the customer. Serves as single owner for account installation and processing for a given customer in the custom and non-standard product segment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the pre-sale process as well as post-sale implementation activity of all non-standard and custom groups, including highly customized, political and/or high profile large and national accounts.
  • Partner with and leads field staff personnel to facilitate the implementation of the terms of agreement between the BCBSNC and the customer. This includes the design and execution of an internal implementation strategy.
  • Lead post-sale coordination of benefits, eligibility, and administrative services to accurate and timely implementation.
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve complex implementation issues and collaborates closely with various levels of employees including senior management.
  • Represent BCBSNC and form professional liaisons with consultants, group/benefit administrators, systems experts, personnel from other plans, health care providers, vendors, etc. Assist in identifying current and emerging complex implementation issues and in determining and evaluating potential solutions to these issues.
  • Identify and assess barriers, lead and facilitate cross-functional workgroups, negotiate through technical and operational issues, develop action plans and communicates key implementation messages to all necessary audiences.
  • Track and manage implementation issues in order to lead overall improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee significant projects that support the successful implementation of marketing objectives.
  • Meet department goals and objectives and provide efficient and quality service to large non-standard accounts.

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

  • 5+ years of experience in related field.

  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed.
