Job Summary
The Project Manager is part of the Project Management Office (PMO) implementing complex, multi-year projects through identification and completion of critical path and parallel work activities to achieve optimum performance. The Project Manager is assigned oversight responsibility of individual projects over their life cycle (scoping, initiation, execution and closeout), including developing the baseline and monitoring project performance using an earned value management system.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implementation of the Earned Value Management System, as well as risk management and planning.
  • Development of corrective action plans for troubled projects.
  • Overall coordination of initial work planning/scoping working with operations and engineering to develop a resource-loaded schedule and cost estimate.
  • Primary interface with operations and project planners/schedulers.
  • Assist in planning and resolving interface issues with the customer and production groups.
  • Interface with customer technical representatives to ensure preparation of Monthly Financial reports.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are being met.

Qualifications/Education
  • Bachelor of Science degree in relevant discipline (Engineering, Science or Business, Construction Management, Project Management).
  • Typically requires 10 years of experience if technical degree and 14 years if non-technical degree.
  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in at least two of the following disciplines: Engineering, Finance & Accounting, Project Controls, Legal, Procurement; and typically 6 years of related project experience in the field demonstrating increased levels of responsibility with a minimum of 5 years of management/supervisory experience on large, complex, capital/equipment projects involving radioactive and/or hazardous waste generation and disposal.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certification preferred.
  • Experience working in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program is a plus.
  • Must be a US citizen - no dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE "L" security clearance - current clearance preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain Radiological Controls and other qualifications as directed by Naval Reactors.

Pay: $114,000 - $180,000
The base salary range for this position in Idaho (US-ID) at the start of employment is expected to be between $114,000 and $180,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
