Job Opening Details:

If our mission statement piques your interest, we encourage you to apply for the currently open position of Implementation Project Manager to work Monday - Friday 8:00 AM -5:00 PM at our SLC or Ogden Branch. The Implementation Project Manager leads the successful delivery of the strategic banking, technology, and operational initiatives across the bank. This role is responsible for planning and managing projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring projects teams remain aligned, risks and dependencies are actively managed, stakeholders are informed, and deliverables are completed successfully. The role places particular emphasis on implementation readiness, ensuring the business, technology, vendor, and operational activities required for successful implementation are coordinated and completed.

Experience/Skills Necessary to Perform Duties:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, project management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 3–5+ years of project management, implementation management, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects from planning through implementation.
  • Experience with technology, system, or third-party vendor implementations preferred.
  • Banking or financial services experience preferred.
  • Project management certification such as PMP, CAPM, or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong project management, organization, and implementation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive accountability without direct authority over project participants.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to identify risks and issues early and drive them toward resolution.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into structured project and implementation plans.
  • Comfortable working with both business and technology teams and translating between operational and technical perspectives.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining awareness of broader project objectives and business outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively with third-party vendors and implementation partners.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and governance practices.
Regular Duties and Responsibilities:Project Management & Implementation Delivery
  • Lead banking, technology, operational Bank initiatives from planning through successful implementation.
  • Develop and manage project plans, scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and implementation activities.
  • Partner with business units, Technology teams, subject matter experts, vendors, and other stakeholders to coordinate project activities and drive deliverables to completion.
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, status updates, and implementation planning to maintain alignment and accountability.
  • Coordinate requirements, configuration, testing, training, communications, procedures, and operational readiness activities as appropriate.
  • Manage third-party vendor activities and ensure commitments align with Bank requirements, timelines, and expectations.
  • Provide clear project communication and reporting, escalating risks, barriers, and decisions when appropriate.
Project Governance & Process Improvement
  • Apply established project management standards, governance practices, tools and documentation based on project size, complexity, risk and impact.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risks, issues, decisions and implementation documentation
  • Support project and portfolio reporting and provide visibility into project health, milestones, risks and upcoming activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery practices, processes, tools, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the continued development and maturity of the Bank’s project management and implementation practices.
