Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementation. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of the local implementation, including local project initiation, requirements gathering, working to find solutions, system implementation, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live support.

This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and SAP transformation experience to ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, timeline, and quality objectives.


This role is Hybrid 3 days a week at any ContiTech site in the US. 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Project Leadership & Governance

  • Lead local end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects from initiation through post-production support.
  • Establish local project governance, communication plans, reporting structures, and escalation processes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed local project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk registers.
  • Monitor local project performance and ensure alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings and provide executive-level status reporting.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with executive sponsors, business leaders, functional teams, IT teams, and external implementation partners.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive decision-making and issue resolution across cross-functional teams.

Program Delivery

  • Coordinate functional and technical workstreams including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Quality,  and others as needed.
  • Oversee local project deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology and project management best practices.
  • Manage scope, change requests, and project documentation.

Risk & Quality Management

  • Identify local project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project quality metrics and ensure deliverables meet business and technical requirements.

Change Management & Training

  • Partner with organizational change management teams to support user adoption.
  • Ensure training plans, communications, and readiness activities are executed effectively.
  • Support business process transformation and organizational alignment efforts.

Testing & Deployment

  • Oversee system integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment planning.
  • Coordinate cutover activities and go-live readiness assessments.
  • Lead post-go-live stabilization efforts and transition to operational support teams.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or 4 years of experience with SAP in lieu of a degree
  • 2.+ years of project management experience, including leading enterprise ERP implementations.
  • 2+ years of SAP/ ERP experience.
  • Proven track record delivering complex, multi-workstream ERP transformation programs.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall).
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, resources, risks, and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Up to 50% travel based on location

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAP modules including FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, EWM, and/or TM.
  • Experience leading global or multi-site implementations.
  • Familiarity with data migration, system integrations, testing strategies, and change management frameworks.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, including leading enterprise ERP implementations.
