Position Summary: This opportunity is for a Project Manager at Phoenix Paper Wickliffe LLC. The role involves coordinating all phases of projects from conception to closeout, focusing on planning, monitoring, and controlling processes while maintaining high levels of internal customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include creating project schedules, coordinating tasks, and providing direction and support to the team. This is a salaried, exempt position.

Responsibilities
  • Independently manage small projects or a single major project with responsibility for budget, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Assure engagement and alignment from required project owners for all projects, including outside resources such as engineering partners and contractors.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, budget, schedule, and goals.
  • Assist in the development and execution of mill and area capital plans.
  • Cultivate a work environment centered around employee ownership and engagement.
  • Lead all projects to achieve a safety and environmental incident‑free workplace, identifying critical hazards and mitigating risks while meeting business objectives.
  • Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding requirements, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allocation of resources.
  • Conduct project status reviews, readiness assessments, project close‑out and post‑project learning; implement best practices.
  • Develop sub‑contractor and project support procedures and site liaison responsibilities for third‑party management.
  • Prepare project reports for management, clients, or others.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in project engineering roles within a pulp and paper manufacturing operation.
  • Demonstrated effective execution of the FEL Work Process.
  • Experience giving presentations and distributing information to all levels within the organization, including executives, production employees, and large audiences.
  • Experience in developing and implementing improvement processes and projects while maintaining a sense of urgency.
  • Motivated, fast‑paced, high‑impact teammate ready to add value to the organization.
