Job description

Implementation Manager

Location: El Segundo, California, USA (HQ)
Reports To: Director of Implementation
Role Type: Full-Time, On-Site

About QuikStor

QuikStor is the leading SaaS facility management platform for the self-storage industry, delivering a purpose-built, scalable system that serves as the foundation for intelligent automation and modern facility operations. We are in rapid growth mode, backed by significant capital from self-storage industry veterans who share our vision to build the most advanced and scalable operating system for storage operators worldwide.

Role Overview

The Implementation Manager is a customer-facing, product-expert role responsible for translating a customer’s business requirements into a clearly defined QuikStor system configuration. This role sits between Sales, Project Management, and Implementation Execution, and is critical to ensuring successful, scalable deployments.

Implementation Managers are not project managers and are not solely focused on task tracking or timelines. Instead, they serve as trusted advisors and product experts who understand both QuikStor and the self-storage industry. They work directly with customers to define workflows, configurations, and operational requirements, then hand off clear, complete implementation specifications to the Implementation Execution team.

Success in this role is measured by implementation quality, customer confidence, reduction in rework, and smooth handoff to execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Discovery & Requirements Definition

  • Lead detailed discovery sessions with customers to understand their operational workflows, policies, and business requirements
  • Advise customers on best practices and recommended configurations within the QuikStor platform
  • Identify gaps between current customer processes and QuikStor-native workflows, and guide customers toward scalable solutions

Product Configuration & Solution Design

  • Define how QuikStor should be configured to meet customer needs, including leasing, billing, delinquency, access control, reporting, and integrations
  • Translate customer requirements into clear, structured implementation specifications
  • Ensure configurations align with QuikStor best practices, compliance requirements, and long-term scalability

Implementation Handoff & Execution Support

  • Deliver clean, complete handoff documentation to the Implementation Execution team
  • Partner closely with Project Management to ensure scope, assumptions, and dependencies are clearly understood
  • Support the Execution team during build and validation phases by answering questions and clarifying requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales to support pre-implementation alignment and expectation setting
  • Partner with Product to provide feedback on configuration gaps, edge cases, and customer needs
  • Collaborate with Support to ensure smooth post-go-live transitions

Customer Confidence & Enablement

  • Serve as a trusted product expert for customers throughout the implementation lifecycle
  • Help customers understand not just how the system is configured, but why
  • Reduce post-launch issues by ensuring customers are properly aligned and educated during implementation

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 6+ years of experience in SaaS implementation, onboarding, or solutions consulting
  • Deep understanding of complex, configurable B2B SaaS platforms
  • Strong customer-facing communication and discovery skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical and functional specifications
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation discipline
  • Comfortable working in a structured, multi-team implementation model
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating across functions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the self-storage industry
  • Experience implementing property management, proptech, or operational SaaS platforms
  • Familiarity with access control systems, payments, accounting workflows, or compliance-driven processes

Location & Work Environment

This role is based at QuikStor headquarters in El Segundo, California. Regular on-site presence is expected to support close collaboration with Sales, Project Management, Product, and Implementation teams. Travel of approximately 10 to 20 percent may be required for customer meetings or implementation-related activities.

Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • 401k Retirement Plan
  • Vacation and Sick Time
  • 20 Remote Workdays per Year
  • Annual Bonus
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Education Assistance Program
  • Employee Discount Store
  • Discounted Storage
  • Equity Opportunities
