Job description

This at-will position participates in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversees its organization, scheduling and implementation. The Project Manager is responsible for representing Wasatch Taylormade Builders with clients and consultants on virtually any range of subjects related to construction and making decisions on behalf of Wasatch Taylormade Builders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following list of functions is descriptive of the work to be performed but it should not be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, functions, or tasks that the job may require.
  • Direct and Supervise Workers.
  • Study Job Specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
  • Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project, such as painting or plumbing
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs
  • Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
  • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
  • Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans.
  • Ultimately responsible for ensuring project is completed on schedule and within budget.

Safety Responsibilities:
  • Learn and ensure compliance with all company, local, state, and federal safety rules.
  • Ensures that unsafe conditions are reported immediately to management.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA or BS Degree from an accreted college (or 3 years related experience).
  • Skill in analyzing problems, developing alternatives, and implementing effective strategies.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, have strong analytical abilities, and be computer proficient.
  • Computer skills should include word processing, spreadsheets, and accounting software.
