Job description

Job Title: Customer Success & Implementation Advisor

Location: Full-time Onsite – Georgetown, TX 78628 (No Remote)

SMART tagTM is a leading K-12 pupil transportation SaaS platform that helps school districts improve student safety and operational efficiency. We provide real-time bus tracking, RFID student identification, routing, and parent communication tools to school districts across the country.

About the Role
We are seeking a Customer Success & Implementation Advisor to support both new and existing school district customers. This hybrid role is responsible for successfully onboarding new districts while also managing and growing relationships with existing customers.

This position requires someone who is organized, technically capable, and comfortable balancing implementation work with ongoing account management and upsell opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

New Customer Implementation

  • Lead or support the onboarding and implementation of new school district customers
  • Coordinate data integration, system configuration, and initial setup activities
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables during the implementation phase
  • Conduct training sessions (remote or onsite) for new customers
  • Ensure smooth handoff from implementation to ongoing support and account management

Customer Success & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned existing school district accounts
  • Proactively manage customer satisfaction and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Identify and execute upsell and expansion opportunities within existing accounts
  • Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews with customers
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the engineering, support, and sales teams during both implementation and ongoing account management
  • Provide feedback from customers to help improve products and processes
  • Assist with tablet configuration, data issues, and technical troubleshooting as needed during implementation

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Customer Success, Implementation, Onboarding, or Account Management (SaaS experience preferred)
  • Experience managing both new customer implementations and existing account relationships
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and training skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable working with technical systems and explaining them to non-technical users
  • Must be willing to work full-time onsite in Georgetown, TX

Preferred

  • Experience in K-12 education, EdTech, or government/education technology
  • Experience with data integration or system implementation projects
  • Track record of identifying and closing upsell opportunities
