Implementation Manager

Courier Health

Job description

Courier Health is on a mission to solve one of the biggest and most meaningful opportunities in healthcare: reinvent how people living with chronic and rare diseases are supported.
We are building the future of patient engagement for life sciences companies. Our software is leveraged by biopharma companies to support patients in their complex journey from diagnosis to initiating and remaining on therapy to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Come Build with Us
We're a NYC-based team that believes culture, craft, and customer obsession go hand in hand. We show up for each other the same way we show up for the people we serve. We're an office-first company that values in-person collaboration 4 days per week because we believe the best work happens when you can collaborate and brainstorm together in the same room. If that sounds like your kind of place, we think you'll love it here.
The Opportunity
Courier Health is at an inflection point. We exist to get patients faster, better access to life-saving therapies - and every customer we bring live is another set of patients we reach. How quickly and cleanly a pharma client goes live on our platform decides how soon that impact lands. This role owns that.
As Senior Implementation Manager, you'll own the full implementation lifecycle for a portfolio of pharma and life sciences clients - from kickoff through go-live and hypercare - serving as the primary technical point of contact who turns complex client requirements into configured, integrated, working systems.
You'll work directly with senior client executives and engineering teams on high-stakes launches where the details matter. You'll shape how we implement, not just execute someone else's playbook - the methodology, tooling, and best practices are still being built, and you'll help build them. If you want real ownership over outcomes that reach patients, this is it.
What You'll Build
Launches that land on time. You'll own the full implementation lifecycle for a portfolio of pharma and life sciences clients - kickoff to go-live to hypercare. You'll manage scope, timeline, risk, and stakeholder communication across engagements that span client IT, brand teams, hub operations, and specialty pharmacy partners. When a risk shows up, you surface it early and drive it to resolution across internal and external teams. No surprises at go-live.
Integrations that hold up under real data. You're the primary technical point of contact during implementation. You translate client business requirements into configured workflows, integration designs, and system architecture decisions, then partner with client engineering and IT to scope, design, and validate the data integrations - vendor feeds, third-party APIs, the messy real-world landscape. Coding isn't the job; technical depth is.
Clients who adopt, not just sign. You'll lead discovery sessions to understand each client's program goals, patient journey workflows, and data sources, then document requirements and produce the solution design that guides the build. You'll run client-facing training and write the documentation that makes adoption stick. Going live is the start, not the finish line.
A sharper way to implement. You'll help build the methodology, tooling, and best practices for a growing team - the playbook gets better because you're here. You'll carry what you learn back to Engineering and Product, influencing the roadmap and advocating for the platform capabilities that serve the pharma and life sciences vertical.
What Makes You Successful
  • 5+ years in a customer-facing implementation, project management, solutions engineering, or technical consulting role at a SaaS company.
  • A track record of independently owning complex, multi-phase enterprise implementations involving multiple client stakeholders and technical workstreams.
  • Strong technical fluency - you can hold your own on API integrations, data mapping, system architecture, and configuration logic with client engineering teams. Coding isn't required, but technical depth is essential.
  • Excellent project management skills - you keep competing priorities moving across a portfolio of active engagements.
  • High emotional intelligence, curiosity, and empathy, with the ability to build trust with executive and technical stakeholders alike.
  • A proven ability to work with senior client executives on high-stakes, time-sensitive issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy and ambiguity at an early-stage company.
  • Able to travel periodically for on-site client engagements (approximately 10-20%).
  • Experience working with pharma, life sciences, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare clients is strongly preferred.

Bonus points if:
  • You're familiar with patient support programs, hub services, or specialty pharmacy workflows.
  • You've worked with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Veeva) or healthcare interoperability standards.
  • You've done this at a high-growth health tech or pharma tech company.
  • You hold a PMP or equivalent project management certification.
Benefits
  • 100% paid employee health benefit options (including medical, dental, and vision)
  • 401(k) with employer funded match
  • Unlimited Vacation
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Paid parental leave
  • Catered lunch on Fridays
  • Wellness stipend

The annual salary range for the target level for this role is $140,000 - $175,000 + equity + benefits, including medical, dental, and vision.
