Position Summary:

The SAP Supply Chain and Logistics Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping, delivering, and supporting SAP capabilities across Cognex's global Supply Chain, Logistics, and Global Trade functions. This leader will guide a global team, partner closely with business and IT stakeholders, and drive scalable solutions that improve operational performance, strengthen service quality, and support long-term transformation. The ideal candidate brings deep SAP supply chain expertise, strong people leadership, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions in complex, global environments.

This position follows a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, based out of our corporate headquarters in Natick, MA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and advance the SAP roadmap supporting Cognex's global Supply Chain, Logistics, and Global Trade functions, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise architecture.

  • Lead the delivery, enhancement, and ongoing support of SAP solutions across core supply chain and logistics domains, including MM, PP, QM, PLM, LE, GTS, and IBP.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a global SAP team, establishing clear priorities, building capability, and driving accountability for delivery excellence and service quality.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders on strategic initiatives, transformation programs, and opportunities to modernize supply chain processes and platforms.

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Global Trade stakeholders to understand business priorities, translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions, and identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization.

  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture and delivery teams to support roadmap planning, future-state design, integration strategy, and alignment to SAP standards and governance.

  • Manage vendors, system integrators, and offshore resources to ensure quality execution, effective support, and strong cost and delivery performance.

  • Ensure stable system operations, SLA performance, timely issue resolution, and disciplined root cause analysis for complex functional and technical issues.

  • Lead SAP projects and enhancements from planning through delivery, ensuring solutions are implemented on time, within budget, and with measurable business value.

  • Oversee cross-functional integrations between SAP modules and third-party platforms to support reliable, end-to-end business processes.

  • Apply Agile ways of working and continuous improvement practices to enhance delivery speed, solution quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Support S/4HANA modernization and cloud integration initiatives while helping drive greater process consistency and scalability across global operations.

  • Strong expertise across core SAP supply chain and logistics capabilities, with deep experience in modules such as MM, PP, QM, PLM, LE, GTS, and IBP

  • Proven experience leading global SAP teams and managing delivery across internal and external resources

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain, logistics, and global trade processes

  • Experience working in Agile delivery models and leading cross-functional project execution

  • Experience supporting or leading S/4HANA initiatives in on-premises and/or cloud environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP EWM or Logistics Management (LGM)

  • Exposure to SAP BTP and integration technologies

  • Knowledge of global trade compliance processes

  • Experience in large-scale SAP transformation programs

  • Experience with ServiceNow (incident, request, document management, and change management)

  • Experience with the ShipERP add-in for small package carrier integration

Cognex believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $120,000-195,000. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a sales incentive plan.
