Job description

This Position plans, manages and directs all City operations, under the administrative direction of the Mayor and City Council and is the Financial and Personnel Director. Maintains communication with the department supervisors and elected officials to ensure all departments are functioning in compliance with City policies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Five years' experience as a Government Manager or Assistant
Knowledge Required
  • Knowledge of Public Administration practices
  • Knowledge of Local Government Operations and Procedures
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and orally)
  • Ability to prepare and implement short and long term goals
  • Ability to prepare City policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and ability to effectively control City expenditures
  • Knowledge and ability to prepare and implement annual operating budgets
  • Knowledge and experience in the preparation and implementation of government personnel policies
