Job Summary

The Implementation Manager is a high-profile individual contributor playing a key role in pre- and post-sales implementations. To succeed in the role, the incumbent must leverage strong communication and leadership skills in interactions with internal and external audiences at all levels to ensure successful implementations. Schedules and conducts regular internal and external implementation meetings. Develops and manages completion of client specific implementation timeline/checklist. Coordinates with new business sales executives and service representatives and provides operational support/leverage needed for an effective implementation. Works collaboratively with operations and other internal departments, to ensure timely and accurate case installation. The Implementation Manager is a key individual contributor, acting highly independently and serving as a mentor and leadership example to more junior team members.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities/Duties - what you will be doing (top five):

Manages the implementation of specific sold accounts:

  • Oversees and coordinates implementation process
  • Develops and executes client specific implementation plan
  • Schedules and conducts regular implementation meetings
  • Resolves problems and issues to ensure Point32Health provides outstanding service to all constituents working collaboratively with internal work teams - Claims, Enrollment, Premium Billing, Clinical, etc.

Performs initial case intake and pre-quote assessment of complex/sensitive benefit requests:

  • Manages detailed review of all benefit items presented upon quote request
  • Applies Point32Health business & product rules to compare each request to Point32Health standard products and benefits
  • Identifies non-standard items, works collaboratively w/operational areas to determine feasibility and recommends alternative benefit options that will meet the client objectives as necessary
  • Presents non-standard benefit requests to complex case committee
  • Composes polished external response documents to support Account Executive presentation/response to client/broker

Process monitoring and improvement initiatives:

  • Monitors implementation team metrics and proposes ideas for process improvements.
  • Implements process improvements as agreed to by Sales & Operational leadership teams.
  • Chairing client and internal meetings as needed
  • Answers general prospective client & member calls (prior to the effective date)
  • Validate systems set-up of complex plan designs or benefits
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications - what you need to perform the job

Certification and Licensure

Education

  • Required (minimum): Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Preferred: Master's degree

Experience

  • Required (minimum): 3-5 years client service experience, preferably in health care operations and/or sales or client service.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of knowledge of employee benefits products, insurance contract, alternate funding products, ancillary coverage, administrative procedures, complex underwriting concepts, and brokerage development. Experience with managed care plan, flexible benefits, consultants, and national accounts.

Skill Requirements

  • Requires ability to: juggle multiple priorities; interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Must be flexible, detail oriented, well organized and demonstrate a high degree of initiative and good judgment.
  • Superior business writing and presentation skills (delivered with a polished professional presence & confidence)
  • Must possess subject matter expert level Point32Health product knowledge and industry experience.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively as a team member. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and interact professionally and effectively with a broad spectrum of people both internal and external, in person, via email and on the telephone.
  • Exceptional leadership, influencing and relationship building skills. Ability to achieve consensus, motivate, lead, and influence team members across the organization with potentially conflicting requirements and interests.
  • Must be self-motivated with an ability to influence & encourage others to perform at the same high level.

Working Conditions and Additional Requirements (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):

  • Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
  • Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
  • May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.

Salary Range

The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity. Eligibility for any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation andbenefits remains in the Company's sole discretion and maybe modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.
