Job description

How You’ll Contribute:

The Field Implementation Manager (FIM) is a senior field leadership and technical execution

governance role within Diversified’s Technical Operations (Tech Ops) organization. This position

serves as the highest field-facing execution authority during the implementation phase of projects

and is accountable for ensuring that complex broadcast, media, experiential AV, and enterprise AV

systems are executed safely, accurately, efficiently, and in full alignment with engineering intent,

project schedules, and Diversified standards.

The FIM plays a critical role before installation begins by partnering with the Account Executive during

early site walks and pre-implementation assessments to evaluate site conditions, access,

infrastructure readiness, constructability, sequencing constraints, and unique environmental

considerations. The FIM is responsible for documenting and clearly communicating these findings

through written assessments, photographs, diagrams, and annotated drawings as required, ensuring

Engineering, Project Management, Fabrication, and Operations teams have a shared and accurate

understanding of the installation environment.

During execution, the FIM operates above Installation Site Supervisors and Lead Technicians,

providing multi-site execution governance, technical escalation authority, and field leadership across

active projects. The FIM ensures that systems are not only installed correctly, but that what was

designed, fabricated, kitted, shipped, and delivered matches specification exactly, with zero-defect

expectations applied to materials readiness, logistics coordination, and commissioning

preparedness.

The Field Implementation Manager works in close collaboration with Tech Ops Project Managers,

Engineering (COE), Fabrication Services, Operations, Logistics & Compliance, and Supply Chain to

ensure a seamless transition from design through fabrication, kitting, delivery, installation, and

commissioning. As a highly visible, customer-facing leader, the FIM must demonstrate

professionalism, composure, and technical clarity, including the ability to answer challenging

technical questions or translate complex systems into clear, client-understandable terms with

patience and confidence.

The Field Implementation Manager operates as the technical execution authority within the Tech Ops

delivery framework, ensuring that engineering design intent is translated into disciplined,

predictable, and high-quality field implementation. In doing so, the role protects system integrity,

reinforces installation discipline across multiple projects, and ensures that the transition from

design and fabrication to field implementation occurs with precision and consistency.

Success in this role directly impacts execution quality, schedule reliability, client confidence, and

Diversified’s reputation for delivering complex systems with discipline, precision, and excellence.

The Field Implementation Manager exists to ensure that:

  • Site conditions and constraints are accurately understood and communicated early

  • Inspect and verify installation quality, workmanship standards, and adherence to engineering designs
  • Confirm installed systems match approved designs, specifications, and kitting documentation
  • Verify commissioning readiness prior to system turn-up

Fabrication, Kitting & Logistics Coordination

  • Maintain close collaboration with Fabrication Services and fabrication technicians to ensure systems are built exactly as designed
  • Ensure racks and systems are kitted in a zero-defect manner, including hardware, cabling, labeling, documentation, and accessories
  • Coordinate with Operations, Logistics & Compliance and Supply Chain for timely, safe, and accurate delivery of kitted systems to job sites
  • Verify material completeness and readiness prior to site installation activities
  • Escalate fabrication or logistics discrepancies immediately to prevent downstream execution risk

Leadership, Mentorship & Team Development

  • Supervise and mentor Site Supervisors, Lead Technicians, and senior field staff
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and professional discipline across field teams
  • Provide performance feedback contributing to reviews, training plans, and development paths
  • Assist in long-term growth planning for field personnel and operations staff
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Project & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with Tech Ops Project Managers to align field execution with schedules, milestones, and constraints
  • Partner with Engineering to protect engineering intent and resolve field-discovered issues
  • Review daily field reports for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Provide weekly execution status reporting to regional leadership
