What You Will Do
- Analyze baseline factory metrics (such as scrap, rework, first pass yield) to identify top drivers, forecast future demand, and pinpoint improvement opportunities.
- Drive manufacturing quality through hardware inspection and handsโon collaboration with product and crossโfunctional teams to implement rootโcause corrective actions.
- Conduct process walks, observe operators, and lead manufacturing team discussions to enhance processes and reduce variation.
- Engage defect prevention teams, align priorities, and lead containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning initiatives (PFMEA, control plans, SPC) and verify/improve efficiencies.
- Identify supplier escapes or issues and coordinate containment and backโflow to the Supplier Quality Management team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) or other technical field.
- At least eight years of experience in manufacturing process improvement, root cause analysis, and implementation of shortโterm and longโterm corrective actions.
- Experience developing and using quality metrics for rootโcause analysis and longโterm improvement.
- Knowledge of industry technical standards, drawing interpretation, and work instructions.
- Strong familiarity with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
- Proficiency with pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, and process mapping.
- Ability to facilitate crossโfunctional teams in systematic improvement activities such as Sixโsigma and lean manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
- JโSTDโ001, Six Sigma, Lean experience and/or ASQ certifications.
Security Clearance
U.S. citizenship required. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. governmentโissued security clearance (DoD Secret) required.

Compensation
Salary range: $107,500 โ $204,500 USD.
