The Opportunity

Abbott Core Diagnostics is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.

The position of Contract Implementation Specialist is within our business unit located in Lake Forest, IL. This role will provide administrative, analytical, and procedural support to internal and external customers on behalf of the Contracts and Pricing Department. This role is primarily one of processing and implementing of sales contracts into Model N. This position will be situated in the Core DX Lake Forest office.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure timely implementation and processing of sales contracts, both reagents and service, in Model N. This may include manual keying or quote import, keying of rental and/or service fees and reagent pricing.
  • Audit sales contracts and implement them using Model N.
  • Analyze potential risks that contract changes may pose to the organization.
  • Resolve any existing contract conflicts.
  • Work with different levels of personnel within an organization to analyze and solidify an overall contract strategy.
  • Acts as a resource/provide data requested to the sales organization in regard to current pricing and contracting policies and programs.
  • Participate in and prepare for contracting strategy meetings as needed.
  • Perform database maintenance on an ongoing basis to insure accurate reporting.
  • Assist in updating departmental SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Meet deadlines and update clients (peers, management, sales, etc.) with status.
  • Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job; has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities.
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationships
  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.
  • Other duties as assigned, according to the changing needs of the business.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree In a business-related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in commercial sales contracting.
  • Model N system experience.
  • Minimum intermediate Word and Excel experience a must.
  • Two to four years' experience directly related to contract administration, preferably within the bio-tech/ healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and constructively communicate across departmental disciplines while pursuing contract department goals.
  • Must have good communication & organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must have customer service attitude & good computer skills (Preferred, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Model N, SAP, CMS Next, etc.)
  • Self-starter and a multi-tasker
  • Ability to work in a high volume, dynamic team environment
  • Previous Contract Management or Implementation database experience preferred
  • Previous healthcare, biotech or sales industry experience preferred

The base pay for this position is

$61,300.00 - $122,700.00
