Imperative Chemical Partners has an immediate opening for a Strategic Account Manager in Sumner, IL. If you are interested in joining a growing company with a proven track record of success, this is your opportunity.
SUMMARY
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for building and sustaining long-term partnerships with Imperative's Key and Strategic Accounts. This role combines problem solving with operational execution oversight, ensuring that customer objectives are met while supporting Imperative's goals for growth, profitability, and service excellence. The Strategic Account Manager serves as a trusted advisor to customers, while also guiding internal teams to align resources, processes, and technical expertise with customer needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as a critical point of contact for key accounts, ensuring alignment between customer goals and Imperative's capabilities.
  • Lead customer reviews and business planning sessions, translating feedback into actionable business initiatives.
  • Provide account performance updates and strategic recommendations to Imperative Management.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the customer and internal departments, ensuring effective communication and responsiveness.
  • Champion customer service excellence, proactively addressing concerns and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain a sales pipeline and identify opportunities for growth within assigned accounts utilizing CRM tools.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop and continuously evolve strategic account plans, outlining objectives, goals, and action steps to maximize value and achieve mutual success. Adjust plans based on changing client needs and market conditions.
  • Driving Revenue Growth: Identify and capitalize on opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding the organization's footprint within key accounts. Propose value-added solutions leveraging industry trends and the client's business landscape
  • Provide guidance and support to team members working on strategic accounts, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure employee compliance with HR, HSE, DOT, and company safety processes and regulations.
  • Coordinate employee participation in safety meetings and training requirements.
  • Organize special projects, assist in personnel needs, and support cross-functional initiatives to meet customer and business goals.
  • Be readily available to support customer service and employee needs as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 7+ years of industry experience with proven success in strategic account management or customer leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical processes, applications, and utilization in oilfield or industrial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence decision-makers, negotiate effectively, and build strong customer partnerships.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Financial and analytical acumen with the ability to evaluate account performance and drive profitability.
