Job description

Imperative Chemical Partners has an immediate opening for a Technical Services Representative in Laurel, Mississippi. If you are interested in joining a growing company with a proven track record of success, this is your opportunity!

SUMMARY:

The Technical Services Representative is responsible for understanding customer requirements and then applying technical knowledge along with analytical skills to provide advice and support on a range of products with technical specifications and expertise. This position will be a deployable resource to the field that will help problem solve, troubleshoot, and gather data for RFP's that will enhance Imperative's technical offerings to the marketplace.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Engages in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data, and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.
  • Assist Business Development team with start-ups of new applications in both existing customer and in new accounts, site surveys, product application audits and field evaluation of new products
  • Organizational skills
  • On time to surveys and technical help with new and current customers
  • Works within 3-day lead time if no other projects are pending
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects at one time, prioritizing based on time needed for completion, project origination date, and internal deadlines
  • Observes all customer and Imperative Chemical Partners HSE parameters
  • Attention to detail when producing surveys and solving technical problems, including pictures, drawings, write-ups
  • Fulfills all details listed on Tech Service Request forms
  • Successful identification of problems at hand
  • Uses observations to identify possible mechanical process changes
  • Turns in reports from field visits in a timely manner
  • Other duties may be assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Associates Degree
  • 2 or more years in Technical Role
  • 2 or more years in oil & gas chemicals
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record in adherence to Company policy and standards.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years in oil & gas chemicals
