Description

American Traveler is seeking a CVICU RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience in a Cardiac/Thoracic/Vascular Surgery ICU.

Details
  • Hospital-based CV Thoracic Transplant ICU
  • Cares for both cardiac medical ICU patients and Cardiac/Thoracic/Vascular Surgery ICU patients
  • 2:1 patient ratios including patients with devices such as Impella, IABP, LVAD, and NxStage
  • Day shift schedule from 07:00-19:30
  • 13-week assignment length
Requirements
  • Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • ACLS certification (AHA) required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
  • Impella, IABP, and LVAD experience required
  • NxStage experience preferred
  • Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start required
  • Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start required
Additional Information
  • Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiac medical and cardiothoracic/vascular surgery ICU patients
  • Manage patients on advanced cardiac support devices including Impella, IABP, LVAD, and NxStage
  • COVID-19 vaccination is not required
  • Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address for consideration
  • Radius rule applies allowing local candidates at a reduced rate
  • Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with management approximately 45 days before assignment end date
