Are you an Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer, Validation (CQV) professional, or Project Engineer looking to expand your influence beyond project execution?
We are looking for a Technical Estimator to join our Indianapolis, IN team to support the development of automation, controls, instrumentation, and validation projects for leading manufacturing and regulated industry clients. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise during the earliest stages of a project, helping define solutions, develop project scope, and support successful project delivery.

What You Will Do
  • Develop estimates for automation, controls, instrumentation, and validation projects
  • Review project specifications, scopes of work, RFPs, and engineering documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and operations teams to develop technical solutions and project proposals
  • Work with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain pricing and technical information
  • Support project planning efforts and help identify the best technical approach for client needs
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Support projects across manufacturing, process automation, life sciences, and industrial environments
  • Participate in client meetings and industry events as a technical resource

What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 3+ years experience in automation, controls, instrumentation, validation (CQV), project engineering, system integration, or a related technical discipline
  • Ability to understand technical specifications, engineering documents, and project scopes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, life sciences, or engineering services
  • Experience developing project estimates, proposals, or technical documentation
  • Customer-facing engineering experience
  • Familiarity with instrumentation systems, PLC-based controls, validation activities, or process automation environments
