Associate Scientist – Histology (Research Operations)
South San Francisco, CA (100% Onsite)
 

Summary:
Seeking a hands-on Associate Scientist with strong experience in histology techniques, including cryo-sectioning, tissue processing, and immunofluorescence. The role supports research operations by preparing high-quality tissue samples and maintaining accurate, GLP-compliant documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cryo-sectioning using a cryostat
  • Conduct tissue processing and embedding
  • Execute immunofluorescence (IF) staining
  • Troubleshoot histology workflows independently
  • Maintain accurate GLP documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional research teams

Key Requirements:

  • ~5 years of hands-on histology experience
  • Strong skills in cryo-sectioning, tissue prep, and IF staining
  • Experience with GLP or regulated lab environments
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred:

  • Experience in academic, clinical, or biotech labs
  • Exposure to both biology and chemistry environments
