The Office of International Services is seeking an Assistant Director, International Employee & Scholar Services. This is a full-time (1.00FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.

The Office of International Services (OIS) within the Division of Student Affairs, is a mission-driven, collaborative team that supports Oregon State University's global community through advocacy, education, service, outreach, and engagement. OIS serves as a central university resource for international students, employees, scholars, visitors, hiring units, and campus partners, helping advance OSU's internationalization efforts and the free exchange of ideas and cultures. The Assistant Director, International Employee and Scholar Servicers role offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful, high-impact work that supports OSU's ability to recruit, hire, and retain international employees and scholars. The successful candidate will join a team that values compliance, service excellence, problem-solving, and strong partnerships across the university, while helping provide clear guidance and operational support in a complex and evolving immigration environment. OIS is identified as OSU's central resource providing advising on visa and immigration matters for international students, employees and scholars.

Key Responsibilities:

• This position coordinates day-to-day case management and operations for H-1B, TN, and E-3 petitions, including intake, case assignment, timeline tracking, complex case analysis, petition preparation, and stakeholder communication.
• The role also coordinates I-140 petition preparation for Director review and assists the Director in operations management and analysis of employment-based permanent residency pathways.
• In consultation with the Director, this position partners with hiring units, HR, payroll, General Counsel, outside counsel, and other campus stakeholders to resolve eligibility, documentation, timing, outsourcing and compliance issues.
• The position helps maintain accurate, timely, and audit-ready immigration petition filings by developing Standards of Practice (SOPs), templates, checklists, workflows, internal controls, and quality assurance processes.
• The role also monitors regulatory and policy updates and recommends process improvements, and risk mitigation.
• The position provides backup subject-matter support related to J-1, O-1 regulations, and employment-based permanent residency pathways as needed.
