HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

All LCSNW team members will contribute to our mission of partnering with individuals, families and communities for health,ย justiceย and hope.ย The Immigration Specialistย is responsible forย providing immigration support and advocacy to clients in our Salem, Oregon office andย assistย in outreach and education to the immigrant and refugee community in Oregon.

**Please note this position requires demonstrated fluency (verbal and written) in both English and Spanish**

  • Deliver in-person and phoneย assistance, manage ongoing client cases, and schedule appointments to ensure coordinated andย timelyย service delivery, including case managementย 
  • ย Provide information and advocacy on a wide range of immigration matters, including Naturalization, Adjustment of Status, Family Reunification,ย and EOIR
  • Maintainย accurate, detailed client files and case notes in compliance with program and legal requirementsย ย 
  • Perform legal and administrative support, including document collection, drafting legal documents, translation, trial preparation, and organizing case materials; evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other itemsย ย 
  • ย Assistย clients with supplemental services such as fingerprinting, notary, and photosย ย 
  • Support program operations through data collection, tracking, reporting, andย maintainingย up-to-date knowledge of immigration law and relevant community resources;ย makingย appropriate referralsย as neededย ย 
  • Conduct outreach and education to refugee and immigrant communities;ย demonstrateย cultural humility;ย participateย in ongoing training; and complete required accreditation and credentialing within established timelinesย 
  • Requires strict adherence of HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure client confidentialityย 

HOW YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT:

  • 1ย year of related experienceย 
  • High School graduate or equivalentย ย ย 
  • Public Notaryย requiredย withinย 180ย orย fewerย days of hire.ย 
  • Credentialsย DOJ accreditationย mayย be required dependingย on individual program or location requirements.ย 
  • Fluency in Englishย and Spanishย both spoken and writtenย 
  • Intermediate masteryย of business applications and productivity suitesย ย 
  • Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges,ย conflictย and obstacles/barriers.ย 
  • Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycleย
