This position will improve Orica's market position for quarrying and achieve financial growth targets by winning new, and maintaining existing accounts; manage select relationships with major national and regional clients; ensure delivery of commercial governance, training and analytical commercial support that will raise the standards of the offers we provide, and improve commercial acumen of the business and reporting of sales and commercial activities.

What you will be doing

ย  ย Identification of business development activities in relation to new opportunities with major mining, quarrying customer accounts (both new and existing)
ย  ย Project management of the preparation (including pricing analysis/sourcing strategy), submission, negotiation and contract finalization of tenders for major mining, quarrying customer accounts (new and existing)
ย  ย Account planning and relationship management for major mining, quarrying customer accounts (both new and existing)
ย  ย Management and reporting of the relevant sales opportunity pipeline and compliance with associated CRM activities
ย  ย Customer needs identification, solution definition, new product/service trials and associated commercial executionย 
ย  ย Sales excellence support and leadership in the commercial activities of US region, including compliance with Global Standardsย 
ย  ย Commercial risk management and compliance
ย  ย Voice of the Customer program management and reporting

What you will bring

ย  ย 5+ years of related industry experience in a business development and commercial roles
ย  ย Proven record of improving sales revenue, preferably within a manufacturing/technical environment
ย  ย Proven track record in developing and maintaining customer relationships
ย  ย Financial, contract management and negotiation skills
ย  ย Ability to work interdepartmentally and to influence key stakeholders

Role dimensions

ย  ย Location: ย Remote position may be based in Charlotte, Nashville, or Knoxville
ย  ย Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
ย  ย Travel: ย 30-40% throughout eastern half of the United States.
ย  ย Interactions: Working in tandem with Orica account teams, Orica technical services and customers
