Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
The Mortgage Administrative Assistant provides a broad range of administrative and operational support to assigned managers and the mortgage team, including direct support to a Regional Manager. Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, presentations, and travel arrangements; composing correspondence and maintaining documentation; and supporting special projects as needed. The role collects and interprets data to produce reports and routinely utilizes Microsoft Office tools, including Excel for formatting, filtering, and formula-based tracking, and PowerPoint for creating professional presentations. This position plays a key role in supporting recruiting and onboarding activities, assisting with candidate coordination, new hire processes, and related administrative tasks to ensure a seamless experience. The individual is expected to manage multiple requests simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet established deadlines while proactively seeking clarification when priorities or timelines are unclear. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams are essential.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Typically two to four years of experience in administrative and support staff activities
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Well-developed reading, writing and mathematical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Demonstrated administrative and clerical skills
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
- Effective verbal and written communication and grammatical skills
