Job description

Hello! Afton Nature School, a growing five-star licensed program, is seeking additional teachers. Afton is a wonderful environment with kind children. Our families are warm and respectful. We are looking to hire immediately. If you have all of your credentials to work immediately, we will provide a $100 bonus on hire and a $400 bonus after 90 days.

An ideal candidate is healthy, active, and dependable. They will embrace sharing nature with children daily. They will also be committed to facilitating children to reach their fullest potential through self-care and cooperative play in the classroom. We are not a big box daycare, we are a small program committed to developing kindness, empathy, and competency in children ages 1-6. All staff may be assigned to either classroom, all staff are expected to provide the care a child needs. We need someone who is able to work until 5:40pm.

To be considered for a teaching position, you must be able to pass a state background check and have or get a negative TB test less than 1 year old. You will also need a current First Aid/CPR certificate or you will need to complete a First Aid/CPR certification. Salary starts at $19-22/hr depending on experience and education. Teacher benefits include paid lunch break, sick days, and vacation days; childcare discount; and educational opportunities.
