Job description

IMDb is the world's most popular source for movie, TV, and celebrity content, reaching an audience of more than 250 million unique visitors per month. We're looking for a Senior UX Designer to join IMDb's Design and Research team. You'll own end-to-end design for customer-facing experiences that help hundreds of millions of entertainment fans discover, decide, and engage with content they love.

You'll work across web, iOS, and Android platforms, partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Marketing to ship experiences at scale. This role requires a designer who can operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and drive design decisions with data and customer insights. You'll influence product strategy, raise the bar on craft, and deliver measurable impact for our customers.

The most successful candidate in this role will be able to think big; envisioning design solutions across multiple platforms, and diving deep to explore all possible paths in order to deliver engaging customer experiences.
Key job responsibilities
Own the UX design for one or more product areas, delivering high-quality, end-to-end experiences from concept through launch
Translate complex product requirements and ambiguous problem spaces into clear, intuitive, and visually compelling designs
Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design intent
Drive design decisions through user research insights, data analysis, usability testing, and industry best practices
Collaborate with iOS, Android, and web engineering teams to ensure design intent is maintained through implementation
Contribute to and evolve IMDb's design system and brand guidelines to ensure consistency across platforms
Present design work and rationale to senior leadership, advocating for the customer experience
Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of design excellence within the team
Identify opportunities to improve existing experiences through UX audits and competitive analysis
Partner with UX Research to define research plans and incorporate findings into design iterations
A day in the life
At IMDb, we leverage the power of our database, creating experiences that allow customers to interact with our content in new and engaging ways.

Be part of a small org with top notch designers and a leadership team that values and understands the importance of design.
IMDb is a lot like working for a smaller company with all of the big company benefits. We know each other, we like each other, we collaborate well, we share a passion for movies and TV, and every quarter we celebrate that with movies and dinners with our Founder.
