Job description

IMDb is the world's most trusted source for entertainment information, helping hundreds of millions of customers discover and decide what to watch. As entertainment discovery and customer behavior continue to evolve, IMDb is expanding how we engage audiences across mobile, web, social, lifecycle marketing, and customer experiences.
The IMDb Consumer Marketing team is seeking a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to help drive this next phase of customer engagement and product marketing evolution

This leader will help shape how IMDb connects product experiences, customer engagement, lifecycle marketing, and audience growth into a more cohesive and scalable customer journey.
The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with operational excellence and is equally comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, navigating ambiguity, diving deep into customer behavior, building scalable go-to-market frameworks, writing executive-ready narratives, analyzing engagement metrics, and rolling up sleeves to execute.
This role requires strong backbone, sound judgment, and the ability to influence across organizations while remaining highly customer obsessed. The right candidate is comfortable challenging assumptions, making decisions with incomplete information, and driving forward momentum in ambiguous environments. They are energized by solving complex cross-functional problems and building mechanisms that improve how teams work together and deliver customer value.
This role is highly cross-functional and highly visible, requiring close partnership with Product, Tech, Editorial, Design, Analytics, Lifecycle Marketing, and Amazon partner teams.
Key job responsibilities
Product Marketing & Go-to-Market Strategy:
* Develop scalable GTM strategies and frameworks that drive customer understanding, adoption, engagement, and retention across IMDb web, mobile, email, push, and in-app

* Partner with Product and Tech early in development to shape customer-first experiences and influence engagement strategy upstream.
* Establish launch readiness standards ensuring features meet a high bar for customer value.
* Drive integrated marketing connecting launches to lifecycle engagement, editorial storytelling, social distribution, and long-term retention.
Lifecycle Marketing & Customer Engagement:
* Partner with lifecycle marketing stakeholders to evolve push, email, in-app messaging, onboarding, and retention strategies.
* Define and operationalize high-value customer actions, engagement loops, re-engagement strategies, and habit-building mechanisms.
* Build scalable experimentation frameworks leveraging Braze or equivalent CRM platforms

* Use behavioral data and audience insights to continuously optimize engagement, conversion, and messaging effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Organizational Influence:
* Build strong relationships across Marketing, Product, Tech, Editorial, Analytics, Design, and Amazon partner teams.
* Influence product roadmaps and launch approaches through customer insights and market understanding.
* Drive alignment across large organizations with competing priorities, bringing structure and clarity in ambiguous environments

* Serve as a strategic thought partner across IMDb and Amazon.
Customer Insights & Audience Strategy:
* Leverage research, behavioral analytics, competitive analysis, and industry trends to identify audience opportunities.
* Partner with analytics to establish success metrics tied to engagement quality, retention, and long-term customer value.
* Advocate for customer-centric decision making.
Operational Excellence:
* Build repeatable mechanisms for launch planning, experimentation, and cross-functional decision making

* Create scalable processes and templates.
* Author executive-ready strategic narratives and business reviews.
* Balance strategic thinking with executional ownership.
A day in the life
This role operates at the center of IMDb's evolving customer engagement strategy

One day you may be partnering with Product and Tech leaders to improve launch readiness for a new IMDb app experience. Another day you may be reviewing lifecycle engagement performance, developing a Braze experimentation framework, authoring a strategic narrative for leadership review, or partnering with Editorial and Social teams to connect cultural moments into long-term engagement opportunities.
The right candidate is energized by ambiguity, comfortable building new mechanisms from scratch, and motivated by improving customer experiences at scale.
About the team
Why IMDb?
IMDb sits at the center of entertainment fandom and decision-making. Customers come to IMDb not only for trusted entertainment information, but increasingly for discovery, context, culture, and engagement.
As entertainment consumption and discovery continue to evolve, IMDb has a unique opportunity to redefine how trusted data, storytelling, product experiences, and customer engagement work together to better serve entertainment fans worldwide

This role will directly help shape that future.
